Carolyn trained as a high school teacher in her undergraduate study at Albany State University.  However, she pursued a career in finance after graduation prior to semi-retirement in 2016.  During her career she spoke frequently at conferences and also did substantial training.  Her speaking engagements included conferences in New York, Florida, London, Germany and Amsterdam.  Training professionals for a variety of companies, including the American Management Association in New York, Carolyn developed training programs and trained professionals in New York, Chicago, Delaware, London, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Belgrade (Serbia), Singapore and Aruba.

Since joining the NRSB team 2 years ago, Carolyn has been responsible for the Certification Office, reporting directly to the Board.   She successfully completed one of the Initial Radon Measurement courses and developed a 2-year plan for the NRSB within 6 months of joining, and has been the spokesperson for the NRSB at the EPA Stakeholder meetings around the country.
