Initial Radon Measurement Certification Class
This comprehensive two-day, live virtual training provides the required initial education for individuals seeking certification as a Radon Measurement Professional/Specialist. Designed for individuals entering the radon measurement field, this class offers a complete introduction to radon science and its practical application in residential and light commercial measurement work.
Participants will explore the fundamentals of radon science and health effects, including how radon behaves in indoor environments and why accurate measurement matters. The class emphasizes real-world application of measurement devices and methods, measurement protocols and standards, quality assurance and quality control practices, reporting requirements, and professional responsibilities.
Special focus is placed on understanding how these concepts and requirements apply to everyday radon measurement work. Through instructor-led teaching, real-world experience, and practical field applications, participants will develop the ability to correctly select and use measurement devices, follow proper protocols, and produce clear, accurate, and compliant radon measurement reports.
The training also addresses common responsibilities and standards practicing radon measurement professionals must uphold, helping participants understand the quality assurance and quality control expectations of the field. By the end of the class, attendees will be better prepared to confidently pursue certification and provide radon measurement services.
This class is suitable for individuals with no prior radon measurement experience.
Credentials and Recognition
Participants who successfully complete all class requirements will receive a certificate of completion that fulfills the initial education prerequisite for the NRPP and NRSB Radon Measurement Professional/Specialist certification exams. Certification exams are not included and must be registered for and completed separately through NRPP or NRSB.
