DESCRIPTION:Advance Your Home Inspection Career with Our Mold and Moisture Training\nThis M&MD class is a comprehensive study of mold and moisture damage and the effects on structures. Learning begins in an abstract form and then expands into a more formative development of specifics. After the class\, students will be proficient in recognizing microbial growth (mold) patterns in various structures and areas and in understanding the physiology of mold\, how to safely inspect and test for mold\, how to write a complete environmental inspection report with annotated picture references\, and how to present the client with a report. The student will also learn how to market this skill and directly utilize their knowledge for clients needing consultation. \nClasses run from 8 am -6 pm each of the 2 days. \nMold 101B\nThis is provided to students to view on their own. It begins with mold basics\, which is a primer that covers: mold’s history\, its  health concerns\, requirements for its growth\, inspection methods\, sampling and testing\, and professional remediation practices. This is not required for taking the 5-Part M&MD Comprehensive. \nMold 202\nCovers the following: aspects of mold’s growth\, types\, conveyance systems\, and discoveries through professional mold inspection practices. It will also cover proper use of PPE (personal protection equipment)\, safety\, learning how to find the Red Flags of moisture intrusion\, and the theory of associated client Red Flag Symptoms caused by exposure to mold. \n4-Part Mold & Moisture Damage\nThis 4-part series is taught part of Day 1 and all of Day 2. It delves deeper into all aspects of the inspection processes that inspectors will encounter in mold and moisture damage within structures. The culminating enhanced areas will be on use of equipment\, sampling and testing\, and report writing based on findings of environmental inspection techniques. \nAfter completing the class\, the student will be proficient in recognizing microbial growth (mold) patterns in various structures and areas and in understanding the following: physiology of mold\, how to safely inspect mold\, how to test for mold\, how to write a complete environmental inspection report with annotated picture references\, and how to present the client with a report. The student will also learn how to properly market this skill and directly utilize their knowledge for clients needing consultation. \nThis class is approved for 18 ASHI Continuing Education Credits and 5 IL State-Approved CE Credits. \nAbout the Instructor: Kevin M.
