SUMMARY:4-Point Inspection & Wind Mitigation Class
DESCRIPTION:Master the essentials of 4-Point and Wind Mitigation inspections.\nWe are offering this live online combination 4-Point Inspection and Wind Mitigation class for anyone doing Wind Mitigation Inspections. The 5-hour course is required by Insurance Companies. \nA test will be given covering the Wind Class with a passing grade of 70%. There will be no test for the 4-Point Class. \nA four-point Inspection is often required when obtaining a new homeowners insurance policy or renewing an existing policy. The 4-point insurance inspection includes a limited scope evaluation of the following four systems: \n(1) roofing \n(2) electrical \n(3) heating-air conditioning \n(4) plumbing \nThe focus of the inspection is to determine the approximate age\, components\, and general condition and how much life is left of these systems. \nThe goal of the class is to properly perform wind mitigation inspections and complete a wind mitigation inspection form for homeowners and insurers. \nWe will be discussing the history and conception of the form and how to properly fill it out. What to look for and how to interpret roof configurations. \nInstructor: Mike Conley \nDuration: 5 Hours \nPlease note: The virtual class has a final exam\, which must be completed for CE credit. This exam can be completed at the end of the class or any time after. \nApproved for 5 ASHI & State CE in FL \nPennsylvania & Iowa Notice: Pennsylvania and Iowa do not approve continuing education for home inspectors. PA & IA inspectors must meet the CE requirements of their national association. This virtual class is approved for ASHI Continuing Education CE credit \nLog in for member pricing of $149! Non member  price $199 \nRegister by: July 6\, 2026 \nRegister Now!

SUMMARY:Understanding Chimney Inspection
DESCRIPTION:Join in on this webinar on Thursday\, July 16\, 2026\, at 5:00 PM CT. Internal chimney scanning can reveal conditions that are not visible from readily accessible exterior areas and may provide critical insight into the safety and integrity of chimney systems. This webinar is designed to help home inspectors understand what may be seen during an internal chimney scan and how those observations can assist in identifying potentially significant defects in both masonry and factory-built chimneys. \nThe presentation will cover common internal findings such as flue damage; liner deterioration; joint failure; combustible clearance concerns; corrosion; evidence of moisture intrusion; improper modifications; and signs of heat-related damage or other distress. It will also address the differences between masonry and factory-built chimney systems so attendees can better distinguish what conditions may be characteristic of each type and why those distinctions matter. \nThe focus of this session is not to turn a general home inspector into a chimney specialist\, but to improve recognition of notable internal defects\, strengthen hazard awareness\, and support clearer reporting when potentially serious conditions are present. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of how internal chimney imaging can supplement an inspection\, what types of defects may warrant further action\, and why these findings can have important safety implications. \nPresenter: Daniel Freeman \nDate: July\, 16\, 2026\, at 5:00 PM CT \nLocation: ASHIEdge – Live Webinar \nPrice: Non Member $29 – Member FREE \nRegister by: July\, 13\, 2026 \nRegistration: Sign Up Today
