I started performing home inspections in 1989 and created Wellhouse Corp. in June 1990 (doing business as Wellhouse Building Inspections). I have been performing inspections full-time and continually since that time resulting in having personally performed somewhere north of 20,000 home inspections.

Many changes have occurred over the last 33 years in real estate as well as with inspecting homes. I started out as a single inspector business, using a typewriter to prepare my first inspection reports. I grew Wellhouse and changed it into a company with multiple employees (for about 15 years). The company is now back to our original size; me as the sole inspector.

A couple of interesting side notes:
The typewriter is long gone. Along with a team of code writers, I/we developed WinSpect, an inspection software program that uses field computers (this was prior to the Apple Newton which was the predecessor to the Ipad). WinSpect is still a valuable tool and I have been daily using it with a "pen computer" since 1995.

I am the co-inventer of the Krawler (2005) which is an allterrain tool used to help an individual move around in a building's crawlspace. The Krawler is in use by inspectors, engineers and contractors in all 50 states, Canada and Australia.
