What’s New This September:An Upgraded Member Portal

Log in on September 1 to find a better member portal.

by James Thomas ∣ August 31, 2026

September 1 brings two changes to your ASHI membership. The first is one we think you’ll notice immediately, and in the best way: an upgraded member web portal, live the next time you log in.

A Better Portal, Starting September 1

The updated portal is the latest step in ASHI’s technology investment, following the launch of ASHI Edge, the new membership database, and the redesigned website. When you log in on or after September 1, you’ll find the following:

The actions you use most are now front and center. Renewing your membership, uploading CE, and updating your profile are now the most prominent items on your dashboard.

A new verification center. The old “My Uploads” area has been rebuilt as a clear verification hub to advance your membership or certification. Your affidavit, report verification, NHIE exam results, and state license documents now live together in one place, with simple upload access for each.

Cleaner CE submission. Continuing education now has its own section under your transcript, so CE submissions no longer clutter the verification page.

A simpler way to join and rejoin. A streamlined two-step process guides new and returning members from start to finish, directly from the dashboard.

Behind the scenes, the portal has been rebuilt on a modern framework that lets ASHI update pages faster and more often. The goal is the same: less time managing your membership, more time running your business. Take a few minutes on your first visit to look around and confirm that your profile is current.

Dues Adjustment Reminder

September 1 is also the effective date of the 2026 dues adjustment: Annual membership is now $499, up $50, for renewals and new memberships from that date forward. It is the first increase since 2018. Over those eight years, operating costs rose roughly 33% while dues remained flat; had they tracked inflation, dues would be nearly $600 today. The difference is $4.17 per month and supports ASHI’s ongoing work—the Find an Inspector directory, free continuing education, the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics, mentorship, and much more.

The portal you’ll see on September 1 is a fair representation of what those dues do. The Board set the adjustment at the minimum needed to continue investing in exactly this kind of improvement, and ASHI will continue reporting to members on how dues are put to work.
